... and in response I say: I've been wondering about philosophishies from other cultures too but ... and this may be a highly contentious "but" in philosophishy circles ... I wonder whether the subject would then become inextricably linked to religion and religious thought? I am deeply unwilling to stray into those waters. Not directly at any rate.
And there's going to be a short break between riddles! Gotta let Ms Malcontent have her say now and then.
... you mean their NAMES, right? Coz the philosophers themselves and their ideas are quite splendid, it seems to me. I was thrilled, frinstance, to read on Wiki about Diderot's Dressing Gown -- hence Diderobe (i.e., that riddle wasn't mere coincidence) -- such a familiar event and yet a whole truckload of meanings, all from the gift of a fancy dressing gown. Very neat. I always vaguely regretted not doing Phil for my BA (Econ, instead)(I was a lousy student).
I changed majors recently. I am starting my second Master's Psych this time. Heh! I am equally lousy. Eco was one of my minors in grad. Its blooming difficult.
