heehee... great idea. nice protest :O

but i guess if one country can force burka wearing compulsory on all the people, may be other countries can scrap it away too.

luverly! instead of the traditional "unveiling" of a painting in a museum/ exhibition; ms. malCONtent veils the master(mistress?)piece in2 a tent!!! gt

i like it! the burkha revolution!
ps: i have been told that i would sound creepy but i can't help telling you that i spotted you in Amethyst 2 weeks ago but was too shy to say hello...

... you're sure it was moi? My sister Geeta Doctor and I are often mistaken for one another (admittedly, I am more often mistaken for HER not the other way around -- she's a much more public personality than me). I don't think I would have been creeped out but it would probably have taken me several minutes to connect the virtual entity "Abhinmanyu k Singh" with an actual breathing person. Wow.

ya! the burkha revolution - a filter in front of our faces to NOT let the trash from the world perme8 into our skills. we protest to the world! "nuff is "nuff. stop bombarding us with your trash..... man or woman can wear it - though black is the favoured color - as it symbolically represents "no colour (white represents all colours). and lets not stay restricted to this bedouin design perhaps ms. malcontent has some thoughts on what we can wear? gt

i told the person with me ( Sharanya Manivannan) that you looked liked manjula padmanabhan. at which she said that you were indeed manjula padmanabhan. so, of course, you were you and your sister was with you too, (info courtesy : sharanya, again) then sharnya said 'you want to go say hello?' but i suffer from a curious disease which entails a sudden onset of an extremely dibilitating condition, leading to excessively sweaty hands and feet and general outbreak of a heart-beat mutiny in face of writers/ people i admire so i said 'do you want to go say hello?' and she said ' i already know her ' so i said ' i would rather not intrude'. so thr...

from bra burning to burkha wearing : quite a long and complicated circle we have have traversed...

Ahhh ... okay. Now I understand. I will have to go over my videographer's records to see who was lurking behind Sharanya (to whom I said "hello") -- what? You didn't realize that I ALWAYS have a videographer following me around everywhere, filming every moment and every background detail of my life?? Hmmm. Well. Now you know!

As for this "bra burning" you mention. I wonder what you mean? Neither I nor Ms Malcontent have ever burnt any bras. We are far too dependent on them, alas! LOL. Nevertheless, I am sure she will have something more to say about the issue. Or maybe not. She is notoriously unwilling to comment upon things she is expected to comment upon. Wretch.

ms. malcontent displays good sense in not commeting upon issues she should comment upon. it would be perfectly horrid if she did what others thought she should!

as for bra- burning, that was a bit of a slip into 'pseudo-serious pattern recognizing' kind of spurious, discredited and un original thinking from whose quagmire ms. malcontent saves me, time and again! long live!

I read somewhere that the French Presidents take on burqa only made it to the 4th or 5th pages in French newspaper - because his comments were mostly irrelevant to the situation in France; thus he was really reacting unfavorably to Obama's Cairo speech and hence made it to cover pages in the rest of the world.

By the way when are you going to save that poor David whom this Michaelangelo has put on a spot?
