First City "PHOTOONS"

I created these "photoons" as I call them, for First City Magazine, for their "Delhi My Muse, Aug 2009' issue. They had asked various citizens for our reactions to the city and this was mine -- i.e., I associate Delhirium with its monuments and of course, like many of its 14 million residents I cannot resist the urge to deface them in some way. Fortunately my way doesn't leave any lasting damage to their ancient (well the Salt March Statue's not ancient but ... whatever) surfaces.

Oh I love Delhi. Dont know which one I like best.. but maybe the last one !

I wish you had done something about all those tiny monuments that pop up everywhere being used as bathrooms.

Tx rocksea! And avdi -- two suggestions: 1) go take a photograph and make your own photoon! Failing which, (2) send me a pix that you'd like made into a photoon and ... who knows? Maybe stuff will happen.

photoons is a brilliant concept! we often get "boxed" into the idea that photos are kind of real - authentic and shouldn't be tampered with.....so u have brought us out of that box now. thanQ 4 cre8ing a paradigm shift! gt

*grin* -- good to hear that you're finally coming out of the box, gt!! Heheheh. As for inventing something well I think the only thing new here is the monuments -- I mean, photographs have often been used as the foundation for adding eg. speech bubbles to pix of famous personalities -- and the Mona Lisa has been done over so often some people must feel really surprised to see what she actually looks like -- what, no moustache??!! -- so the only innovation, if at all, is the local antiquities. I had several more lined up but didn't get around to 'em.
